Providing transformative summer employment for Boston's teens.
We’re just weeks away from our 33rd summer session at Artists for Humanity (AFH). AFH has offered meaningful, highly engaging, summer employment for thousands of Boston's young people and this summer, we have bigger plans than ever. For 25 hours per week for 7 weeks, hundreds of teens will receive advanced technical training and build workforce skills, contribute their unique creative perspectives to paying clients, and collaborate with their peers and professional artist mentors, all while earning an income.
Due to a generous increase in city-funded positions, we're surpassing last year's record-breaking employment and hiring 248 youth to work across our seven creative Studios and administrative offices. But to provide an impactful experience for so many teens over the summer, we need $50,000 in additional equipment, materials, and resources including laptop computers, monitors, tablets, museum passes, transportation stipends, supplies, and more.
